ASME Emerging Technologies is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Frontiers in Biomedical Devices, to be held June 8-9, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine, Irvine, California. Leading authorities in the commercial and academic arenas will focus their expertise in five technical sessions plus posters: - Track 1 Cardiovascular
- Track 2 Orthopedics
- Track 3 Ophthalmology/Dermatology
- Track 4 Medical Legal Issues/Testing Issues
- Track 5 Advanced Technology
- Track 6 Posters
The conference also includes an evening reception/exhibition session. Posters will be presented and displayed during the conference. Free Symposia on Computational Simulation June 10th, 2009 (9am-4pm) Courtyard Irvine, 2701 Main St., Irvine, CA http://www.ozeninc.com/IrvineSeminar Ozen Engineering Inc. will be hosting FREE Symposia on Numerical Modeling and Computational Simulation to be held on June 10th in Irvine, CA. In the symposia, we will examine four specialized arenas (Biomedical, Optimization, Solar, and Acoustics) that have been shown to significantly benefit from advanced numerical modeling. Case studies related to each topic will be presented. The Symposia schedule and the specific topics that will be covered are: - Modeling Orthopedic Implants (Coupling Musculoskeletal Simulation with Finite Element Analysis)
- Multi-Objective Optimization (Solving Large Scale Optimizations using Simulated Annealing, Genetic Algorithms, and Other Available Methods)
- Solar Cell Simulation (Thermal-Structural Finite Element Analysis)
- Acoustic (Application of the Boundary Element Method and the Fast MultiPole Boundary Element Method)
The seminar is intended for anyone who is interested in keeping up to date on the newest computational methods and how to best incorporate them in the engineering process. Lunch will be provided.
